HFD Fire Prevention Bureau announces new office hours
Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 13, the Hoboken Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Bureau will offer walk-in services Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Bureau, located on the second floor of Fire Headquarters, 201 Jefferson St., will no longer be open for walk-ins throughout the full business day. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome during morning office hours.
As Fire Headquarters is a historic building and is not ADA accessible, individuals who need assistance accessing the Fire Prevention Bureau are encouraged to contact staff in advance to make arrangements, by emailing [email protected].
These changes will help the Fire Prevention Bureau maximize efficiency and meet increasing demand for inspections and related services. Fire-related permit applications can be submitted digitally and are available at https://www.hobokennj.gov/departments/hoboken-fire-department.

Flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinic
The City of Hoboken Health Division and the Hudson Regional Health Commission will host flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics once a month on Oct. 15, Nov. 19, and Dec. 17, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Multi-Service Center, 124 Grand St.
The flu vaccine is available for individuals ages 3 and older and the COVID-19 vaccine is available for individuals 6-months and older.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred and can be scheduled at https://hudsoncountyvax.org/
Coffee with a Cop on Oct. 16
The City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Police Department (HPD) invite residents to Coffee with a Cop on Friday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at Il Tavolo di Palmisano at 700 Clinton St.
Residents can meet with HPD command staff and patrol officers and enjoy casual conversations in a comfortable setting. Coffee will be served.
