INCIDENT: PC496(A)- Possession of Known Stolen Property
LOCATION: I40 WB and National Trails Hwy, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Leobardo Llanes Perez, 49 Years Old, Resident of Sinaloa, MX
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at approximately 3:18 p.m., deputies from the Coloroado River Station/Needles Police conducted a felony traffic enforcement stop near the westbound Interstate 40 and National Trails Hwy in the City of Needles. The traffic stop was initiated following a notification regarding a stolen conex trailer believed to be in the area.
During the traffic stop, deputies contacted the driver, identified as Leobardo Llanes Perez. During the investigation, deputies determined the conex trailer had been unlawfully taken. Llanes Perez was found to be in violation of PC 496(A) - Possession of Known Stolen Property.
Llanes Perez was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Llanes Perez remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing. This investigation is on-going.
