MARION MAN CHARGED FOR DRUG, FIREARM POSSESSION

Deputy Caleb Baliles with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged William Andrew Molisee, 32, of Marion with felony Possession of a Firearm by Felon, felony Possession of Methamphetamine, and 2 counts misdemeanor Simple Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance. He was initially denied bond due to already being out on pretrial release.

On Thursday, Sept. 3, deputies responded to a residence in the Nebo area after a caller reported someone was shooting a firearm in an unsafe direction.

Upon arrival to the property, deputies spoke with two males, one of whom was Molisee.

A subsequent search of the vehicle Molisee was driving turned up a loaded semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun and ammunition. Molisee is a convicted felon and is not allowed to own or possess a firearm in the state of North Carolina.
Also located in the car was suspected methamphetamine, an unmarked pill bottle containing numerous prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.

Molisee was arrested and transported to the McDowell County Detention Center for processing.
