BURN BAN NOTICE
ALL burning on the Bad River Reservation is banned due to elevated fire danger on Saturday (Oct 10th) and Sunday (Oct 11th).
Very gusty winds, unusually warm temperatures, dead vegetation, and low humidity will create an environment this weekend where any spark or flame could rapidly spread and grow into a wildfire.
Other burning restrictions may be in place outside of the Bad River Reservation, check Wisconsin DNR website for those restrictions. Human activities cause 98% of wildfires statewide.
Ceremonial fires are still allowed within the Reservation boundary, but maximum safety precautions must be followed, and the Chief Warden must be notified of the general location beforehand.
