Advisory

Temporary Landline and 9-1-1 Service Interruption at 8pm

Tonight at 8pm, AT&T will be migrating telephone landline services to a new equipment location. To complete this work, AT&T must temporarily disable landline telephone services, including 9-1-1 access through affected landlines, for approximately 45 minutes.

This interruption will affect only traditional landline telephone services, also known as POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) or copper lines. Wireless phones and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services will not be affected.

The Police Department’s business line, 707-829-4400, will also be temporarily unavailable during the migration. To ensure the public can still reach the Police Department, a temporary phone number, 707-974-0514, will connect callers directly to our dispatch center during this time.

AT&T has advised that this migration is necessary and will be completed as quickly and safely as possible to restore services in a timely manner.

Please note: If you need to contact emergency services during this interruption, do not rely on an affected landline to reach 9-1-1. Use a wireless phone or another unaffected means of communication.

A follow-up Nixle alert will be issued once the migration is complete and services have been restored.
