Isaias will bring heavy rain and gusty winds to Rutherford County from Saturday morning into early Sunday. The heaviest rain is expected in Lake Lure and northwestern Rutherford County. Flooding is possible, and creeks and rivers may rise quickly. Winds could knock down trees and power lines. A few strong thunderstorms are also possible. Stay alert for flood sirens and voice messages along the Rocky Broad River, around Lake Lure, and downstream along the Broad River. If sirens sound, listen for instructions and follow directions from local officials. We will share updates as conditions change.
