Wilmington Police arrest man in connection with September 5 triple shooting incident: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with a September 5 shooting incident that resulted in injuries to three victims.
On September 5 at approximately 6:53 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of D and Townsend Streets in reference to a shooting incident that had occurred. Officers located a 31-year-old male gunshot victim, a 19-year-old male gunshot victim, and a 21 year-old female gunshot victim, who were all transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The case was assigned to Detective Michael Chambers of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Chambers identified 19-year-old Naji Armstrong as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest. Armstrong was located and taken into custody on October 9 with the assistance of the Crisis Management Tactical Team and the Crime Gun Intelligence Center.
Armstrong has been charged with the following offenses:
- Assault (First Degree) – Three Counts
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
