Detective Kyle Gibson with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Zachary Groben Lebbon, 29, of Swannanoa with felony Second Degree Force Sex Offense. He was initially denied bond.
On September 27, Deputy Angel Hernandez spoke with a female about a possible sexual assault that occurred previously that morning.
The victim stated that Lebbon had sexually assaulted her while asleep at his home.
An investigation by Det. Gibson confirmed the allegation and Lebbon was arrested on Oct. 1.
