1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (0516) Sutter Street and Poplar Street, Civic District
The male victim, 40, and the suspect were drinking in the area when the suspect got upset and hit him with a broomstick. The victim was transported to an area hospital to treat his non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECT: Black female adult.
2. Resisting Arrest (1045) 10th Street and Anne Street, Park District
An officer stopped a vehicle in the area for a traffic violation. The driver stopped but refused to obey the officer’s command. Force was used to remove her from the vehicle, and she was taken into custody. ARRESTED: Mary Villegas, 52, for resisting arrest and vehicle code violations.
3. Resisting Arrest (1541) Jamestown Street and Sousa Street, Valley Oak District
Officers conducted a check on a vehicle when the passenger fled on foot. He was apprehended a short distance away. Officers detained the driver in the back seat of the patrol unit when he started to kick the rear driver’s side window, causing moderate damage to the door and window. The driver was placed in a SAFE wrap. ARRESTED: Driver: Zion Dancy, 27, for vandalism and warrants. Passenger: Antwoine Woods, 28, for resisting arrest and warrants.
