COSTA MESA, Calif. (October 14, 2026) – The Costa Mesa Police Department (CMPD) is seeking the public’s help in identifying potential additional victims of a local hair salon owner arrested yesterday on sexual assault charges.
On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, CMPD detectives arrested Ricardo Garcia, 61, Fullerton, the owner of Hair by Ricardo at 2200 Harbor Boulevard in Costa Mesa. Garcia is suspected of using his position as a hair stylist to sexually assault multiple victims over a 10-year time frame. CMPD is currently investigating several reports involving Garcia for inappropriately touching victims, which escalated to sexual assault. Those victims, whom he had contact with as clients, were mostly male and range in age from 13 years old to adults when the assaults occurred.
CMPD is releasing a photograph of the arrestee, and detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying potential additional victims due to his position and easy access to the public.
