SUSPECT 2: Xaver Owens, 35-year-old Male Resident of Joshua Tree

SUMMARY:
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, deputies took a burglary report after the victims’ Airbnb had been ransacked. Electronic devices and other personal belongings had been stolen and the investigation continued.
On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, AirPods belonging to one of the victims began pinging at a residence in the 500 block of Copper Moon Lane. Through investigation, deputies learned two possible suspects lived at the residence. Deputies responded to the location where one of the suspects, Raven Owens, exited the residence and was taken into custody. The second suspect, Xaver Owens, refused to exit the home and a search warrant was obtained. Deputies began public address announcements, asking him to surrender but he refused to comply with orders to exit the home.
Xaver eventually surrendered and was taken into custody. Both Xaver and Raven were booked at the Morongo Basin jail and remain in custody for burglary and receiving known stolen property. Additionally, Xaver was booked on a parole violation and two outstanding warrants from Riverside County.
