INCIDENT: Two Suspects Arrested Following Shooting at Occupied Victorville Residence

LOCATION: 14600 Block of Adobe Place, Victorville, CA 92392 

SUSPECT 1: Uvell Blackwell-Jones, 18-years-old, Resident of Apple Valley
SUSPECT 2: Latrell Kirk, 18-years-old, Resident of Apple Valley

SUMMARY: On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at about 11:30 p.m., deputies assigned to the Victorville Station responded to the 14000 block of Adobe Place after ShotSpotter gunshot detection technology alerted deputies to multiple gunshots in the area. Deputies also received calls from residents who reported gunfire.

Upon arrival, deputies located numerous fired rifle and handgun cartridge casings in the roadway. Deputies determined multiple rounds struck an occupied residence and two vehicles, causing property damage. No injuries were reported.

Deputies obtained surveillance footage that captured two suspects firing multiple rounds toward the occupied residence before fleeing the area. Investigators assigned to the Victorville City Gang Impact Team (VCGIT) assumed the investigation and used surveillance footage and Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology to identify a vehicle believed to be associated with the shooting.

Through investigative efforts, deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Investigators identified one of the occupants as 18-year-old Uvell Blackwell-Jones, a resident of Apple Valley. Through further investigation, deputies identified Blackwell-Jones as a suspect involved in the shooting. Deputies also recovered a large-capacity firearm magazine from the vehicle. Blackwell-Jones was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for violations of Penal Code 246 - Shooting at an Inhabited Dwelling, Penal Code 245(a)(2) - Assault with a Firearm, and Penal Code 32310 - Possession of a Large-Capacity Magazine.

As the investigation continued, investigators identified 18-year-old Latrell Kirk, a resident of Apple Valley, as an additional suspect involved in the incident. Investigators conducted a search of Kirk's residence and recovered an AR-style pistol believed to have been used during the shooting. Kirk was arrested for violations of Penal Code 30605(a) - Possession of an Assault Weapon and Penal Code 32 - Accessory After the Fact.
