Situation Summary: Firefighters and an aggressive air attack were able to accomplish 5% containment yesterday afternoon and overnight as they worked to increase containment lines around the fire. Firefighters continue to provide for structure protection and improve control lines to limit the fire's progression and to mitigate potential future threat.
Additionally, crews will be scouting for secondary containment line construction and mop up will continue with a full suppression strategy to maintain structure defense and values at risk. A Red Flag Warning is in effect through Saturday at 8PM with daytime highs between 88-92'F and high winds expected of 20-35mph out of the Northeast with gusts reaching up to 40-65mph. Today air attack and ground crews will continue to protect structures and build containment monitoring any fire progression and flare ups caused by the increasing winds.
