Three Juveniles Arrested in Connection with Organized Retail Theft in Corte Madera; More Than $6,000 in Stolen Merchandise Recovered
CORTE MADERA, CA – The Central Marin Police Authority (CMPA), working in collaboration with several Bay Area law enforcement agencies, arrested three juveniles suspected of involvement in a series of organized retail thefts targeting businesses throughout the Bay Area.
On October 14, 2026, at approximately 2:40 p.m., CMPA officers responded to The Village at Corte Madera shopping center after receiving a theft report. A witness reported observing several individuals fleeing the area of a retail business with merchandise believed to be stolen. The individuals entered a black Hyundai and fled the area.
During the investigation, CMPA officers received information from a Lululemon investigator confirming the business was the victim of a theft. Investigators also determined that the suspects and their vehicle were associated with a previous theft at the shopping center on October 11, 2026.
CMPA officers immediately shared information about the suspects and their vehicle with regional law enforcement partners, including the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), and the Berkeley Police Department, which was conducting a related investigation.
Utilizing automated license plate recognition technology, SFPD officers located the suspect vehicle in San Francisco. When SFPD officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver failed to yield, resulting in a pursuit. After officers lost sight of the vehicle, SFPD deployed a drone to help locate the suspects.
The drone subsequently located three individuals exiting the suspect vehicle with merchandise believed to be stolen and entering another vehicle, later identified as a rideshare vehicle. SFPD officers stopped the rideshare vehicle and detained all three suspects.
The suspects, identified as one male juvenile and two female juveniles, were transferred into CMPA custody. All three suspects were booked into Marin County Juvenile Hall in connection with the theft investigation.
Officers recovered 45 pairs of Lululemon leggings and five jackets, with a combined reported retail value of over $6,000.
