Campbell, CA – Campbell Police Department detectives have arrested a 46-year-old San Jose man in connection with a commercial burglary at Goddess Hair Bar that resulted in an estimated $100,000 in stolen merchandise.
On Thursday, September 17, 2026, at approximately 9:54 am, a Campbell Police officer was flagged down by a community member regarding a possible commercial burglary near Bascom and Campbell Avenue. Officers responded to Goddess Hair Bar and discovered the business's front door had been broken. Inside, officers found multiple areas of the salon had been extensively rummaged through, with numerous items stolen. Investigators determined the burglary had occurred several hours earlier.
During the initial investigation, Campbell detectives identified a vehicle used by the suspects during the burglary and determined it was displaying a stolen license plate, a tactic commonly used to conceal a vehicle's identity. Through an extensive investigation utilizing the department's public safety camera network and other investigative resources, detectives identified Daniel Jermain White, 46, of San Jose, as a suspect. White has an extensive criminal history and was on probation for prior offenses involving firearms, drug sales, stolen vehicles, and evading law enforcement.
On Wednesday, October 14, Campbell detectives attempted to contact White. During the encounter, White fled in a stolen vehicle, striking police vehicles in the process. The following day, October 15, Campbell Police detectives, with assistance from the Santa Clara County Specialized Enforcement Team (SCCSET), located and arrested White without further incident. At the time of his arrest, White was found in possession of methamphetamine suspected to be intended for sale.
Detectives subsequently searched White's residence, where they located packaged hair extensions, drug paraphernalia, and personal identifying documents belonging to other individuals, including passports and driver's licenses. White was arrested on suspicion of burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, evading police officers, vehicle theft, and drug-related offenses. Our detectives will continue investigating this case to identify whether White may be connected to other crimes in the area.
"A burglary of this magnitude can have a significant impact on a local business," said Campbell Police Chief Gary Berg. "Our detectives worked diligently to identify the suspect and bring this case to an arrest. Their use of technology, investigative expertise, and collaboration with our law enforcement partners demonstrates our commitment to holding those accountable who are responsible for crimes in our community."
