INCIDENT: Traffic Stop Leads to the Discovery of Fentanyl and Evidence of Narcotics Sales
LOCATION: Mariposa Road / Bear Valley Road, Hesperia
SUSPECT: Eric Claudio, 31-year-old, Resident of Apple Valley
INVOLVED PARTY: Female resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY: On October 16th, 2026, Investigators from the Hesperia Gang Team conducted a traffic stop near Bear Valley Road and Mariposa Road. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Eric Claudio.
During a search of Claudio’s vehicle, investigators located approximately two ounces of fentanyl, an ounce of heroin, and a digital scale. Investigators authored search warrants for Claudio’s residence in Apple Valley, as well as another location in Hesperia. The Hesperia Gang Team seized additional quantities of fentanyl and US currency from both residences.
Eric Claudio was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for HS 11351- Possession of controlled substances with the intent to sell, and HS 11378- Possession of a controlled substance for sale.
