Tomorrow, the McDowell County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with McDowell County Schools, will conduct training exercises at multiple schools throughout the county. The goals of this operation are to enhance deputies' capabilities in responding to critical incidents, increase deputies' knowledge of school layouts, and test the overall readiness of the Sheriff's Office's response capabilities. The public may see multiple emergency vehicles at schools, as well as deputies training in and around those facilities.
For questions, please contact our office at 828-652-2235.
Sheriff Nathan Mace and the McDowell County Sheriff's Office thank the community for its continued support.
