Due to extensive rainfall in the area, access to the landfill tipping area is currently impacted by wet and unsafe conditions.
For the safety of our customers, employees, and equipment, we are currently unable to safely allow public vehicles access to the tipping area. We are, however, allowing most municipal and commercial vehicles that provide curbside and business waste collection services to our local communities to continue accessing the landfill.
At this time, a tow pin is required for commercial vehicles, as conditions may require us to assist by towing vehicles into and out of the tipping area.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work diligently to improve site conditions and restore safe, normal access as soon as possible.
Traffic restrictions may change as conditions improve. Please contact the San Juan Landfill Scale House at 505-386-5005 prior to arrival to confirm the current access restrictions and determine whether your vehicle can be accommodated.
