TRAFFIC ADVISORY - WESTFIELD AVENUE (BY ALJ AND TOWNHALL)
Residents and motorists are advised to expect increased traffic and possible delays along the Westfield Avenue corridor on Saturday, October 24, due to two events taking place in the area between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The 2026 Union County Tournament Girls Soccer Semifinals will be hosted at Arthur L. Johnson High School while the Township's Annual Trunk-or-Treat event will also take place at the Clark Municipal Building. While the soccer games begins earlier, the heaviest traffic congestion is anticipated between noon and 2 p.m., when activity surrounding both events may overlap.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the Westfield Avenue corridor during those hours unless attending an event or needing to access the area. Those traveling through the area should allow extra time, anticipate delays and use alternate routes when possible.
The Township will have officers to assist in crossing Westfield Avenue, please cross at controlled intersections or where crossing guards are posted.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation!
