18 year old arrested for intoxicated manslaughter on Wednesday

DETAILS: On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Amarillo Police officers responded to a major traffic crash in the 1900 block of Port Lane. The vehicle appeared to have lost control while attempting to turn, left the roadway, and struck a light pole and a tree.
One of the four occupants of the vehicle died from her injuries.
The driver, 18-year-old Arissa Adams, was arrested and booked into the Potter County Jail on two counts of Intoxication Assault and one count of Intoxication Manslaughter.
The investigation is ongoing.
