INCIDENT: PC664/187(A)- Attempted murder
LOCATION: 12500 Block of N. Maintstreet, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Karl Palmer, 35-years old, Resident of Rialto
VICTIM(S): 55-year-old Male
SUMMARY: On Saturday, October 24, 2026, at about 6:34 P.M., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station responded to the 12500 block of N. Mainstreet regarding a stabbing.
Deputies arrived on scene and contacted the reporting party. Through investigation, deputies learned the suspect, later identified as Karl Palmer, became involved in a verbal altercation with the victim. Palmer brandished a knife and struck the victim once in the abdomen. Palmer fled the location before deputies arrived on scene.
An extensive area check was conducted and with the assistance of Fontana Police Department, the suspect was located at Foothill Boulevard and Cottonwood Avenue, where he was taken into custody.
Deputies searched Palmer and the suspected weapon was located.
Medical aid was rendered to the victim and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Palmer was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for PC664/187(A)- Attempted Murder.
