Special Weather Statement until 05:30PM

At 452 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from near San Jon to 9 miles southeast of Ragland, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... San Jon, Wheatland, Bard and Forrest. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 351 and 368.

* AFFECTED AREAS: QUAY COUNTY

Instructions:

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
