Thank you for your tremendous interest in the 32-Gallon, Leonia-logo containers - we ordered over 1,000 containers and are nearly sold out. After Wednesday 10/28, we will take waiting-list orders only. Letters postmarked by Wednesday 10/28 will be honored.
For those of you who have already purchased containers, you will receive an email notification with pickup locations, dates, and times. Pickups are exclusively for pre-orders, no containers will be sold on site.
This initiative helps residents transition to 32-Gallon containers for all collections (including household garbage and recycling) which will be effective December 1, 2026. The ordinance also prohibits placing uncontained garbage bags curbside. Your container purchase was subsidized through grants obtained by the Borough. No taxpayer dollars were used, and 100% of the volume discount was passed on to residents. The Borough made no money from the sale of these containers.
Thank you for your support in helping to keep our DPW workers safe and our town clean and beautiful.
