Planned Prescribed Burn October 28–29
A prescribed burn is planned for Wednesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Bay Vista Apartments and Marin Valley Mobile Country Club in Novato. Smoke may be visible in Novato and San Rafael, including along Highway 101.
Please do not call 9-1-1 to report smoke from this planned activity.
The burn will also support an S-219 fire service course, providing firefighters with hands-on training in firing operations and the use of prescribed fire for vegetation management and fuel mitigation.
An informational booth will be open at the Marin Valley Clubhouse, 100 Marin Valley Drive, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.
