INCIDENT: Victorville City Gang Impact Team Investigation Leads to the Recovery of Two Firearms
LOCATION: Air Expressway / Stevens Street, Adelanto

SUMMARY: On October 26, 2026, deputies assigned to the Victorville City Gang Impact Team (VCGIT) conducted an investigation into the illegal possession of firearms by a 16-year-old male juvenile. The investigation led to a traffic enforcement stop near Air Expressway and Stevens Street in Adelanto.
During the traffic stop, deputies detained two 16-year-old male juveniles, both of whom were found to be in possession of loaded, privately manufactured firearms equipped with 30-round magazines. As part of the investigation, VCGIT deputies served two search warrants at residences in the city of Adelanto. Although no additional evidence was recovered from one of the residences, deputies located a firearm magazine at the second residence.
Both juveniles were subsequently arrested and booked into the High Desert Juvenile Hall for for violations of Penal Code sections 25850(a) – Carrying a Loaded Firearm and Penal Code 32310 – Possession of a Large-Capacity Magazine.
