| On October 26, 2026, an adult male responded to the Camarillo Police Station to report that he had just been assaulted with a firearm by a neighbor, later identified as Robert Hart. The investigation revealed that Hart and the victim had an ongoing neighbor dispute spanning several months. The victim reported that at approximately 1530 hours, the victim returned to his residence from work. As he drove his vehicle into his garage, Hart entered the garage, produced a handgun, and pressed it against the victim’s head. Fearing for his safety, the victim attempted to call 911, but Hart struck the phone out of his hand. The victim was able to drive out of the garage and went directly to the Camarillo Police Station to report the incident. Detectives from the Camarillo Investigations Bureau responded to assist and later executed a search warrant on Hart and his residence in the 1200 block of Via Montoya. Hart was subsequently arrested for PC 245 – Assault with a Deadly Weapon, PC 417 – Brandishing a Firearm, and PC 459 – Burglary. As a result of the search warrant service, detectives seized two firearms, an airsoft gun, and various-caliber ammunition. Hart was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on $50,000 bail.
