PC 12022.1 - Committing a Felony While Out on Bail
LOCATION: Yucaipa Blvd / Yucaipa Valley Circle
SUSPECT(S): Michael Colantonio, 53-year-old, Resident of Yucaipa
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 8:20 p.m., deputies assigned to the Yucaipa Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) initiated a traffic stop on a Nissan Sentra in the area of Yucaipa Blvd., and Yucaipa Valley Circle.
The driver, Michael Colantonio, was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license. During the search of the vehicle, MET discovered approximately one pound of methamphetamine concealed in the engine compartment, along with five bags of psychedelic mushrooms. Additionally, Colantonio was in possession of fentanyl and a significant amount of U.S. currency.
Colantonio was recently arrested for a similar charge and was released after posting bail.
Colantonio was arrested for Health and Safety Code 11378 - Possession of a controlled substance for sale and Penal Code 12022.1 - Committing a felony while out on bail. He is currently being held at the Central Detention Center with a bail amount set at $280,000.
