TRAFFIC AND PARKING CHANGES
AFFECTED STREETS:
44th St, 45th St, 46th St, 47th St, 48th St & 48th Ct
Dear Residents,
As many of you know, we have a dramatic increase in vehicle and pedestrian traffic on our streets Halloween evening. Without some form of police intervention and traffic & parking controls, it is near impossible to get emergency vehicles down some of these streets during Halloween.
On Halloween evening, Saturday, October 31, Dan Witt Park will close at 4:00 pm, and the listed street closures will be enforced from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. With the exception of residents and their guests for the evening, no vehicles will be permitted to enter the above areas, east of NE 22nd Avenue after 6:00 pm. Additionally, any vehicles parked on these streets MUST be parked on the south side ONLY!
Limiting vehicular traffic during the noted time will make Halloween safer for our children, who walk these streets trick-or-treating. Additionally, in the event of an emergency, police and fire response vehicles can travel down the street. We appreciate your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
