This Halloween, the City of El Cerrito is piloting a Halloween Block Party Permit Program to help improve pedestrian safety and create safer spaces for trick-or-treaters.
As part of the pilot program, approved streets will be temporarily closed to vehicle traffic from 5-9pm. Please see the list below for the blocks that will be closed.
If you’re driving on Halloween:
• Slow down and stay alert
• Watch carefully for children crossing the street
• Expect trick-or-treaters to be out after dark
• Be especially cautious near residential neighborhoods and intersections
• Follow all posted signs and temporary road closures
🕷️ To our trick-or-treaters and families: have fun, stay aware of your surroundings, and help us keep Halloween safe for everyone!
