The Petaluma Police Department is aware of an ongoing telephone service issue affecting outgoing calls from landlines to Verizon customers.
911 emergency services remain fully operational. Residents can continue calling 911 without interruption. However, our dispatch center is currently unable to return calls to Verizon customers, including following a 911 disconnect.
If you call 911, please remain on the line. Dispatchers may also attempt to contact you via text message if there is a disconnect.
We are working with the telephone service providers to resolve this issue and appreciate the community's patience.
