The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the DC Department of General Services (DGS) would like to inform residents that the track at Banneker Recreation Center (2500 Georgia Avenue, NW) will close to the public starting Monday, November 2, 2026, for track repairs. As a result of this work, Maury Wills Field will also be closed for the duration of the project.
Construction is expected to be completed in early 2027.
