LOCATION: West Valley Detention Center, 9500 Etiwanda Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT 1: Ronald Perkins, 33-year-old Resident of Beverly Hills
SUSPECT 2: Imoni Childs, 41-year-old Resident of Compton
SUMMARY: On Sunday, October 25, 2026, at about 3:15 PM, deputies assigned to the West Valley Detention Center (WVDC) contacted Ronald Perkins and Imoni Childs on jail grounds, in their vehicle. Deputies conducted a records check and learned Childs had two misdemeanor warrants for driving on a suspended license. The deputies ordered Perkins and Childs out of the vehicle but Perkins refused. Deputies eventually gained Perkins' compliance and searched the vehicle.
During the search, deputies located a loaded firearm registered to Perkins and eight bundles of marijuana. Perkins was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm on jail grounds, and resisting or delaying a peace officer. He is being held on $50,000 bail. Childs was arrested for possession of a controlled substance on jail grounds and on the outstanding warrants and is being held on $55,000 bail.
