WEST WINDSOR HISTORY MUSEUM OPEN HOUSE
FREE FAMILY EVENT AND JUNIOR HISTORICAL TREASURE HUNT!
The West Windsor Police Department invites residents and families to join us on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the West Windsor History Museum, located at 50 Southfield Road.
Chief Garofalo and Officers from the West Windsor Police Department will be joined by experienced metal detectorists from the Mid-Jersey Research and Recovery Club to introduce children to the exciting world of metal detecting and historical discovery.
Children will have the opportunity to use real metal detecting equipment, search for hidden keys, unlock treasure chests, and earn their very own Junior Historical Treasure Hunter Certificate of Achievement!
Visitors will also have the opportunity to view actual historical artifacts discovered through metal detecting and learn how this technology helps uncover and preserve pieces of our local history.
Additional Open House activities include museum tours and traditional quilting demonstrations.
This event is FREE and open to the public.
Special thanks to Fort Bedford Metal Detectors, Nokta Detection Technologies, and the Mid-Jersey Research and Recovery Club for supporting this educational community initiative.
We look forward to seeing everyone for an afternoon of history, discovery, and family fun!
