MARION WOMAN CHARGED WITH FELONY FIRST DEGREE BURGLARY
Deputy Zeb Vance with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 38-year-old Ashley Amanda Hughes of Marion with felony First Degree Burglary. She was initially denied bond.
On September 24, Deputy Vance responded to a residence in Marion after a possible breaking and entering. Deputy Vance arrived on scene and began speaking with the owner of the home who stated Hughes had entered her home without permission and attempted to take one of the owner’s dogs. After being told to leave Hughes exited the residence and then threw a rock at the owner’s car and struck her porch railing with a shovel.
Camera footage provided by the owner confirmed Hughes actions.
Hughes was arrested on Oct. 18 by the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office and taken into custody.
