Detective Kyle Gibson with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 31-year-old Levi Dillon Harris of Marion with felony larceny of a motor vehicle. He was issued a $20,000 secured bond.
On March 5, 2026, Deputy Tre Spearman took a report about a stolen Workmaster 95 farm tractor, estimated to be worth $58,000.
A short time later, MCSO deputies notified Deputy Spearman that a resident on Lawing Road in Marion had reported that someone had abandoned a tractor on their property after causing damage.
The property owner met Deputy Spearman and the victim at the residence to identify the tractor, which turned out to belong to the victim.
Harris was later identified as the person who took the tractor. He was arrested on October 25 for his crime.
