On the evening of November 2nd, 2026, officers from the Janesville Police Department were dispatched to a shots fired complaint that originated on Interstate 39/90. Officers located a vehicle with damage consistent with bullets strikes. Fortunately, no one was injured. Through investigation it was determined the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident.
A suspect vehicle was quickly identified and determined to be occupied by driver Stephen Brown and his passenger, Stephanie Gonzales, during the shooting. Later that night, Stephanie Gonzales was located and arrested for Party To A Crime - 1st Degree Reckless Endangering Safety and Party To A Crime - Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Stephanie was transported and held at the Rock County Jail.
Today, November 3rd, Stephen Brown was located and arrested for 2 counts of 1st Degree Reckless Endangering Safety, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession with Intent to Deliver THC, and Manufacture/Deliver a Schedule I Narcotic. Stephen was transported and held at the Rock County Jail.
Additionally, an associate of Brown's, Tiffany Setzer, was arrested for Harboring or Aiding a Felon.
