Traffic Advisory 

Residents are reminded that the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's (NJDEP) Rebuild by Design full closure of Grove Street went into effect at 8 a.m. this morning. Grove Street is now closed 24/7 in both directions between 18th Street in Jersey City and Observer Highway in Hoboken. Detours are on Jersey Avenue and Marin Boulevard/Henderson Street. Please plan ahead and leave extra time to get in, out, and around southwest Hoboken. 

Additionally, crews in Weehawken continue to make emergency repairs to a storm drain. The construction, which will continue overnight, requires the closure of one lane in each direction on the Weehawken side of the Park Avenue Bridge, which will cause delays in and out of uptown Hoboken. Drivers are advised to use the Willow Avenue Bridge as an alternate. 

Police will be at both sites during working hours, to assist with traffic control and pedestrian safety. 

Come celebrate 45 years of the Hoboken Artist Studio Tour

Join Hoboken for the 45th annual Artist Studio Tour on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Enjoy a free, self-guided walking tour featuring local artists, studios, galleries, and public art throughout the city. 

Community members are invited to celebrate this milestone with a special exhibit of 16 historic tour posters at Hoboken City Hall, 94 Washington St. at a public reception with the artist on Thursday, Nov.  5, at 3 p.m. 

The Hoboken Historic Museum will kick off the tour with an artist reception and silent art auction at 1303 Hudson St. on Friday, Nov. 6, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information on the auction, go to https://hobokenmuseum.org/event/meet-the-artists-pre-tour-reception-art-auction/.

Attend the Veterans Day Memorial Service Wednesday  

The annual Hoboken Veterans Day Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. 

The service, hosted by Hoboken American Legion Post 107, will take place at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Elysian Park located on Hudson Street between 10th and 11th Streets.

Everyone is invited to attend to honor the brave individuals who have served the nation and recognize the sacrifices made by veterans and their families.
