INCIDENT: Theft with Prior Convictions
LOCATION: 19000 Block of Bear Valley Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECTS: Mikel Wharry, 35-year-old male, Resident of Apple Valley
Dominica Ealy, 35-year-old female, Resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, deputies with the Apple Valley Station responded to the 19000 block of Bear Valley Road, regarding a reported theft.
Two suspects, later identified as Mikel Wharry and Dominica Ealy, entered the store and gathered approximately $500 worth of Pokémon cards. The suspects then passed all points of sale without paying for the merchandise. Arrest warrants for Wharry and Ealy, along with a search warrant for a residence associated with the suspects, were issued.
On November 5, 2026, deputies, with assistance from the Detective Bureau, served the search warrant and detained both Wharry and Ealy. Both suspects were arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for PC 182(a)(1)- Conspiracy and PC 666.1(a)(1)- Petty Theft with Two or More Prior Convictions. Both are being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
