INCIDENT: Driver Using Center Turn Lane to Pass Vehicles Hits Another Vehicle Head-on
LOCATION: Hesperia Road and Mesa Street, Hesperia
SUSPECT: Ramon Lopez, 52-year-old resident of Victorville. Driver of Nissan Altima
VICTIM 1: Adult female
VICTIM 2: Adult male
VICTIM 3: Juvenile passenger
VICTIM 4: Juvenile passenger
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 5:55pm., Ramon Lopez was driving a Nissan sedan traveling north on Hesperia Road, in the city of Hesperia. Lopez was passing vehicles by utilizing the center double left turn lane.
Lopez pulled into the center double left turn lane and hit another vehicle that was stopped waiting to turn into a residence. The other vehicle was occupied by four occupants and an adult female and two juvenile passengers were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Lopez also sustained injuries and was transported to a trauma center for medical treatment. Lopez was not wearing a seatbelt and determined to of been driving under the influence.
