INCIDENT: Victorville City Gang Impact Team Investigation Leads to the Recovery of an Assault Rifle
LOCATION: 38000 block of Petra Road, Hinkley, CA 92347
SUSPECT(S): Denali Williams, 20-years-old, resident of Barstow
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Thursday, November 5, 2026, deputies assigned to the Victorville City Gang Impact Team (VCGIT) conducted an investigation into the illegal possession of firearms by 20-year-old Denali Williams, a resident of Barstow. The investigation ultimately led to the service of a search warrant at a residence in the 38000 block of Petra Road, in Hinkley.
During a search of the residence, deputies recovered a loaded rifle-style pistol, which was classified as both an assault weapon and a short-barreled rifle under California law. Williams was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for violations of Penal Code sections 32310(a) – Possession of a Large-Capacity Magazine, 30605(a) – Possession of an Assault Weapon, and 33215 – Possession of a Short-Barreled Rifle.
