Earlier this evening, May 30, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person. 

Deputies are seeking to locate John Matthew Salter, whose last known location is Brays Island.  Salter is a 40-year-old white male, standing five feet, ten inches tall, and weighing 250 pounds.  He has brown hair and brown eyes. 

Acquaintances are concerned for his well-being.
