Due to a malfunction at the Independence, Missouri Water Plant which resulted in a drop in water pressure at the plant, it is possible that municipal water may be conmtaminated until proven otherwise.
Effective immediately the City of Oak Grove is issuing a Boil Water Advisory as advised from our water supplier Independence Water Utility. Oak Grove water customers until further notice are advised to bring water to a rolling boil for 3 - 5 minutes, then cool, prior to consuming.

This advisory is only for tap water, and does not include bottled water. It does include all cites and water districts that purchase water from the City of Independence. This includes the City of Oak Grove and includes surrounding rural water districts and Bates City unless they specifically state that they are not included.
