UPDATE: Bridge Reopened/TRAFFIC ALERT: Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge - Closed; Police Presence Due to Active Incident

The Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge reopened to traffic on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m., following a temporary full closure of I‑43 in that area.
Officers were dispatched around 2:40 p.m. for a reported welfare check involving an individual, who was brought to safety without injury around 5:30 p.m.

The Green Bay Police Department (GBPD) is advising drivers who utilize the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge to find alternate routes on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 due to an active law enforcement presence.
Officers were dispatched around 2:40 p.m. and remain on scene as of 3:40 p.m. for a reported incident, which has currently completed closed the bridge for travel.
I-43 is closed between Atkinson Drive and Webster Avenue. Please use STH172 as an alternate route.
We will update the public when the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge reopens.
