Investigators from the insurance company and Riley FD have determined the cause of a weekend fire to be an accident. The weekend fire at the home of Matthew and Megan Higginbotham of 4740 Red Bud Lane in Timberlake’s Subdivision was likely caused by an electrical short in a wall outlet. The fire was likely burning for several hours prior to its discovery by the homeowners in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 15th, 2014.
