*2nd Update* #LASD Arrest Made in Stabbing Death of Woman, 1000blk Griswold Av, San Fernando
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives continue to assist San Fernando Police Department personnel investigate the circumstances surrounding a stabbing death investigation that occurred at 2:55 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017, on the 1000 block of Griswold Avenue, San Fernando.
Victim Deseret Favila's husband, Jorge Casas has been arrested for her murder.
Suspect Casas was booked for Murder at San Fernando Police Department and is being held in leiu of $2,000,000 bail.

UPDATED PRESS RELEASE IS AS FOLLOWS:
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives continue to assist San Fernando Police Department personnel investigate the circumstances surrounding a stabbing death investigation that occurred at 2:55 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017.
Detectives have learned that officers responded to a residence located in the 1000 block of Griswold Avenue, San Fernando, regarding a 9-1-1 “medical emergency, possible assault” call. When officers arrived, they located the victim, a 33 year-old Hispanic female, inside the residence suffering from apparent stab wounds.
Officers began performing life saving measures to save her and, upon the arrival of paramedics whom continued medical treatment, the victim was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s 37 year-old husband has been detained as a possible suspect and is being questioned. At this time he has not been arrested.
The couple have two children in common who were in the home along with other family members at the time the incident occurred. Neither were injured.
The weapon has not been recovered at this time.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is on-going and there is no additional information at this time.
