* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Shelby County in central Indiana... Southeastern Hancock County in central Indiana... Rush County in central Indiana... Decatur County in central Indiana... Northern Bartholomew County in central Indiana...

* Until 415 PM EDT.

* At 326 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 miles south of Greenfield to 7 miles northeast of Columbus, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Columbus, Shelbyville, Greenfield, Greensburg, Rushville, Adams, Edinburgh, Hope, Flat Rock, Milford, Westport, Geneva, Morristown, St. Paul, Carthage, Hartsville, Fairland, Milroy, Glenwood and Clifford. This includes the following highways... Interstate 65 between mile markers 71 and 83. Interstate 74 between mile markers 104 and 144.

* AFFECTED AREAS: DECATUR, IN ... RUSH, IN ... BARTHOLOMEW, IN ... HANCOCK, IN ... SHELBY, IN

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
