Nathaniel Colbert arrested for discharging a firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm and active warrants

INCIDENT: DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM/ FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM/ POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY/ WARRANTS
LOCATION: 11900 Block of Lee Ave., in Adelanto
SUSPECT(S): Nathaniel Colbert, 29 Years-old, of Corona
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, January 19, 2020, at 9:47 p.m., deputies responded to the report of shots being fired at an apartment complex in the 11900 block of Lee Avenue in Adelanto.
When deputies arrived, they located three fired cartridge casings in the breezeway of the complex. Through the investigation, deputies identified the suspect as Nathaniel Colbert. Colbert, who is a documented gang member out of Los Angeles, discharged a firearm approximately 15 feet from several occupied apartments.
Deputies located Colbert exiting an apartment within the complex. The firearm was hidden inside a closet of the residence where he was staying with friends. The firearm was confirmed to be stolen. Colbert is a convicted Felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm.
Colbert was booked at High Desert Detention Center.
