Kenzel Davis, a documented gang member out of Pomona and a convicted felon, was arrested for attempted murder

LOCATION: 11000 Block of White Ave., in Adelanto
SUSPECT(S): Kenzel Davis, 25 years-old, of Adelanto
SUMMARY:
On Friday, February 21, 2020, at 4:30 p.m., Victor Valley Sheriff's deputies responded to the 11000 block of White Avenue in Adelanto regarding a reported shooting. In fear for his life, the victim ran to a local store and requested help. When deputies arrived at the location of the shooting, they found several fired cartridge casings and fired bullet strikes. During the investigation, Kenzel Davis was identified as a suspect, and an arrest warrant was issued for him.
On Thursday, February 27, 2020, at 1:42 p.m., while working patrol in Adelanto, Victor Valley Sheriff's Deputy Katie Merrill saw Davis enter a local convenience store. Merrill arrested Davis, without incident, for his active attempted murder warrant. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center where he is currently being held in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail.
Kenzel Davis, who is a documented gang member out of Pomona and a convicted felon, was out on bail for two previous arrests, which included felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance while armed with a firearm at the time he committed this crime.
