10:45am Update Emergency conditions still exist, roads flooded and closed, evacuations underway, no unnecessary travel 
Flooding rains from Tropical Storm Henri have inundated our immediate area overnight. Many roads are still covered in flood waters and are impassible. Please do not drive unless it is absolutely necessary. Surrounding communities are also under water with impassible roads. Water rescues are underway. Stay at home until conditions improve.

Rt 33 East and West bound at Bentley Road (near Applegarth)
Applegarth Road (Federal to 33)
Spotswood Englishtown between Mt Mills and Rue Road
Perrineville (Federal to 33)
Texas Road at the municipal board into Old Bridge

RESCUES and EVACUATIONS
There has been severe flooding impact at Rossmoor. Evacuations are still underway with approximately 40 rescued residents staging at the clubhouse.
POWER DISRUPTIONS
JCPL currently reports 2393 customers out of power. Crews are working in the municipality now to restore ASAP.
SHELTER
The Township has opened a shelter for those without power, those who have been flooded, anyone who is being rescued. All evacuees will be moved to this location within the next couple of hours. The Monroe Township Senior Center is located at 12 Halsey Reed Road, Monroe Township. Families can reunite with their loved ones here.
