Reminder: closure of one eastbound lane U.S. 278 tonight from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am for SCDOT routine bridge maintenance
South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) personnel will conduct routine maintenance on the Hilton Head Island bridges overnight. One eastbound lane—the right-hand lane of U.S. 278 heading toward Hilton Head Island—will be closed between the hours of 9:00 pm and 6:00 am tonight into tomorrow morning. One eastbound lane and both westbound lanes of U.S. 278 over the bridges will remain open. For the safety of the workers, motorists are asked to use caution if traveling on the bridges between these times.
